The United Jewish Community of York is the central
strategic planning and fundraising agency for the York
Jewish community. It strives to build a strong local
Jewish community by coordinating the activities of the
other Jewish agencies in York. They promote Jewish continuity by educating the local community about Israel, worldwide Jewry and contemporary Jewish issues.
The community is encouraged to contribute their time,
energy and financial resources through the annual
United Jewish Community Campaign, which helps
fund local and worldwide Jewish Agencies and causes.
The campaign is a medium for recruitment and training
of Jewish communal leadership and a vehicle for
community building.
