LEAVE A LEGACY®

Creating an Exceptional Place of Belonging

The range and depth of the JCC’s programming continues to grow, as does our commitment of resources - financial, facility, and emotional - to the community. Early childhood care and education, diversity education, and health and wellness are all in demand, as are the community’s requests for delivery and support.

Our early childhood care and education programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), an honor bestowed on only 7% of all preschool and child care facilities nationwide. We also have achieved a Four Star rating with the Keystone STARS program. Over 300 children from diverse income and ethnic backgrounds and varied cognitive, physical, medical and social/emotional needs currently learn together at the JCC.

Our diversity acceptance programming is designed to reduce prejudice and build respect for all differences by helping individuals become more aware of their biases and the impact of their words and actions when confronted with those biases.

The goal of our health and wellness programs is to promote wellness within the community. We offer financial assistance to assist members in reaching their wellness objectives.

These programs are the core of the JCC and we need to say “yes” to people in need. We are compelled to continue to address unmet needs by digging much further into our budget since membership fees do not cover the costs to operate these programs. We depend on the generous support of our members and the community to offer these important services. Our fundraising efforts continue year-round.

To find out how you can help ensure the continuation of these worthwhile services within the community, contact JCC Community Development Director, Janine Pflaum.

Charitable Giving Opportunities
We would like to remind you of a unique giving opportunity. Many of you wonder – what do I give my friend “who has everything” or my child who I want to teach the concept of giving? Please consider a charitable gift to the JCC in honor of a person’s birthday, wedding, birth, any special occasion or in memory of a loved one. The opportunities for charitable support to the JCC’s programs and services are numerous:

LEAVE A LEGACY®
The JCC is proud to participate in LEAVE A LEGACY® York County, a community-wide collaboration of individuals and organizations committed to increasing the level of planned giving to nonprofit organizations in our community.

Our enrollment with this regional initiative gives us access to comprehensive marketing and educational materials and programs designed to make us a stronger organization today and in the future.

Sponsored locally by the York County Bar Foundation, LEAVE A LEGACY® is endorsed by the National Committee on Planned Giving. Efforts similar to ours are currently underway across the region--including Lancaster and Harrisburg--and across the country.

The JCC is very fortunate to have the support of many talented volunteers who help us fulfill our mission every day. Moving forward, we see the LEAVE A LEGACY® initiative as an important part of our effort to inspire these and other individuals to help provide the financial resources we will need to continue our work for years to come.
