Child Care Center

Program Operation
The Child Care program is a full day, full year program for children ages 18 months through pre-kindergarten. The Child Care program also offers before and after care for children enrolled in local kindergarten programs. Busing is provided by the following schools for enrolled children: York Suburban Valley View Center, Dallastown Leader Heights Elementary, Ore Valley Elementary, and York Township Elementary, and all LIU programs. School Districts will also provide busing to and from the JCC and private schools for families residing in the above school districts.

Opening and Closing Information
The Child Care program is open at 6:30 AM and closes at 6:00 PM for children in kindergarten through school age.
Our Early childhood wing opens at 7:00 AM. Families may make arrangements for 6:30 AM drop offs.
Our Ones and Two classroom closes for the day at 5:30 PM.

Heather Miller
Child Care Coordinator

Heather has been with the JCC since 1992. She spends her time at the JCC both in the classroom and as the Child Care Coordinator. She has a BA in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Penn State. In 2004, Heather received the $1000 Focus On Our Future grant for her math and science curriculum. She also received the 2007 Terri Lynn Lokoff grants for “Literacy Across the Curriculum.” She is also a certified Red Cross Instructor and PQAS Instructor.
