School for the Early Years
The JCC School for the Early Years provides children ages 2-5 years with an environment rich in possibilities for child-initiated, child-directed, teacher-supported learning through active exploration and play. Our School for the Early Years offers socialization and education for your preschooler in the morning, while our Lunch and Learn for 3-6 year olds provides afternoon fun and enrichment.The School program runs from early September through mid-May. The School doors open at 8:50 AM and School starts at 9:00 AM with staggered dismissals to alleviate congestions in the School Commons area at pick up time. Twos and Threes dismiss at 11:15; Threes and Fours at 11:25, and Fours and Fives at 11:30.
Tuition is a monthly payment and varies, based on numbers of days of attendance:
• Two days (Tuesday/Thursday): Member rate is $215 and Non-Member is $298.
• Three days (Monday/Wednesday/Friday): Member rate is $236 and Non-Member is $319.
• Five days Monday through Friday is Member rate $305 and Non-Member $388.
(Please note that the Fours and Fives program does not offer a two or three day option.)
Extended school hours are available through our afternoon Lunch & Learn Programs. The School for the Early Years runs the summer Discovery Camp from June through mid-August for children ages three through six years.

| Megan Penson School Coordinator Megan has been a teacher at the JCC since 2004 and the School Coordinator since 2006. She earned a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. Megan has been in the field of early childhood education for 15 years. Her goal is to develop and document an integrated early childhood curriculum that is based on the needs and interests of each individual child in the preschool program. She recently added the position of Education Coordinator to her duties. |
